On April 23, students in worship leadership classes hosted a Night of Worship to showcase their work over the past year while opening the time for the audience to worship with them. There were a variety of styles shown throughout the performance. Some were upbeat, others were slower and some were open for the audience to sing along.
This event was open to students and the public alike and was a wonderful time of worship and reflection. After the performance, those in attendance were abuzz with how much they enjoyed the event.
“We’ve been working on this all semester,” Rebekah Higgins, a junior worship leadership major from Amarillo, said. “This event has allowed us to perform songs that we would not otherwise be able to do in chapel. It was also really awesome to be able to worship both individually and with a group at the same time.”
The students performed the following pieces:
Holy Spirit Come by: Patrick Mayberry
This is How I Thank the Lord by: Mosaic MSC
Paradoxology, by: Elevation Worship
Hallelujah Here Below by: Elevation Worship
Yes He Can by: Cain
Who Else by: Gateway Worship
What He’s Done by: Passion
Made For More by: Josh Baldwin
