Hardin-Simmons University will host its annual homecoming week beginning Oct. 24. Visit http://hsutx.edu for a full list of time and events.


Thursday, Oct. 24

To kick off the week, HSU will host the Alumni Awards Banquet.  The event will take place in the Johnson Building beginning at 6:30 p.m.  This is a ticket-only event dedicated to honoring Distinguished Alumni and the John J. Keeter, Jr. Alumni Service Award recipients. 


Friday, Oct. 25

Registration begins at noon in the Moody Student Center where participants may get a nametag, register and purchase event tickets.  Friday Night Festival is from 5 to 9 p.m. on the Newman-Richardson Lawn.  Face painting, games, balloon art and food trucks will all be part of the festivities.

The HSU Class of 2014 will have designated alumni tables at the Friday Night Festival for their 10-year class reunion.  Additionally, HSU cheer alumni are welcome to join the current 2024 cheer team for the Cheerleader Alumni Reception.  The event will be hosted at the Alumni Wall at 5:00 p.m.  The cheer alumni may also join cheerleaders on the field during the fourth quarter of the homecoming game.

All-School SING begins at 6 p.m. in the Behrens Auditorium.  Student tickets are $5 each, and are $15 for all non-students.

The pep rally and fireworks will begin at 8:15 p.m. on Newman-Richardson Lawn.  The 2024 Homecoming Court will be presented.  There will also be performances from the HSU Cheerleaders, Cowboy Band and Spurs.

Concluding the night is Late Night Breakfast beginning at 9 p.m. in the Bridges Courtyard. Purple pancakes will be served.


Saturday, Oct. 26

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Moody Student Center. The cafe is hosting a parents-only breakfast at 9 a.m.  Tickets are $5 each and are required.

At 9:30 a.m. in the Johnson Building, HSU’s Student Organization Gatherings will take place.  Alumni can join current club members to learn about recent club happenings.

The tailgate begins at 1 a.m. at the Bridges Courtyard.  The Cowboys will play East Texas Baptist University in Shelton Stadium with a kick off time of 1 p.m. 

All-School SING will present another performance at 8 p.m. in Behrens Auditorium.


Sunday, Oct. 27

To conclude homecoming week, the HSU Family Worship Service will be held in the Logsdon Chapel beginning at 9:30 a.m.
